Similar to the previous Sims series, the player would create a virtual family. You will be in control of every Sim family members and choose their appearance, race, personality, and other attributes. You play the Sims as if you are the creator like building your Sims house, move in and out, shop around, have a career and socialize. Generally, the game is very enjoying as you create a virtual home and incorporate your creativity. The virtual currency used for Sims is called "Simoleon", and every time you run out of money, you can simply take jobs while other family members are out.

The difference of the Sims 3 game from the earlier Sims game apart from the fact that it's more improved, enhanced graphics, and bundle of animated expressions, the editing tools or game customization feature have more selections. In the build and buy mode, player can now choose to paint the house or purchase colorful wallpapers. Hence, with Sims 3, there will be more ambitions and events offered. Another exciting feature of the new Sims game is its ability to create a neighborhood, now it is called "Worlds".

From the time Sims 3 had been released and became available to any type of gaming gadget from PC to different home consoles such as PS3, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360 and Wii, the game received remarkable reviews. However, players of the game from Wii left poor Sims 3 game review due to the glitches.
